The green Power LED will blink for a few seconds and then stay solid green. Your computer may play a sound notification indicating new hardware (Device Reset) was detected. Your printer is now in Service Mode.
If Canon detects a service tool reset, they can (and do) flag your printer’s serial number. Good luck getting official help.

The green power light will blink for a few seconds and then stay solid green. Your printer screen will either go completely blank or display the word "Service Mode." Your computer may pop up a message stating it found new hardware ("Device driver software was not successfully installed" is normal here).
